5 out of 5 stars husband won't take these off   April 26, 2010
I bought these for my husband because I wear Hi-tecs all the time and these came in the wide size he needed. Now he won't take them off!

He says they are comfortable and they look pretty nice for a hiking boot.

5 out of 5 stars Great Hiking Boots   December 8, 2009
Received the Hi-Tec boots in record time and they're as good as I thought they'd be! I've been wearing Hi-Tec boots for years now and haven't had a spec of trouble with them. They always seem to fit right in comparison to more expensive boots that don't ever seem to fit.

5 out of 5 stars A great boot for the money   August 30, 2009

This is the second pair of Outlander hiking boots that I have owned. The first pair were simply worn out after two years of nearly everyday use. I went for a second pair because the first pair was so comfortable from day one, and my new pair are just as comfortable as the first pair.

These boots are also quite light in weight and the sole is fairly flexible. These boots are not waterproof but when they do inevitably get wet they retain their comfort and flexibility after they dry.

5 out of 5 stars 56 below zero weather--and they kept my feet warm   March 1, 2009

I cannot say enough about these boots. I don't even remember where or when I bought them. I just needed some boots so bought these 6 or 8 years ago. Since then, I have worn them EVERYWHERE.

Last winter, I wore them on a trip far up into the reaches of Canada's Northwest Territories on its famed "Ice Roads". The temperature hovered between -49 to -56 degrees Fahrenheit for over a week. I was FREEZING....but not my feet. I have no idea why these boots kept my feet warm in that kind of weather but they did. It was unbelievably cold but my my feet were fine.

I had pretty much worn them out, and got another pair (another brand)for Christmas. The others were ok, but I soon went back to my old High Teks.

I looked them up here on Amazon just so I can order me a new pair. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Not sure why the guys who gave the bad reviews had trouble. Maybe they didn't wear them enough to get them broken in, I don't know. All I know is that I've ordered me another pair.

5 out of 5 stars Camino De Santiago Star   December 17, 2008

This baby took me 550 miles across Northern Spain this march. I got ONE blister the entire time. The rest of the group were sitting down every night for the rite of blister-popping, while these boots kept my feet incredibly comfortable. Break them in before you go, but they'll last you. After a trek that would have killed most boots mine are still fine. Buy these boots if you're on the Camino, buy something like Asolos if you're a masochist.
