 Lightweight, but holds a lot December 30, 2008
I bought this purse for my 82 year old mother who attends adult day care. She needed a lightweight purse that would hold her medications, and some spare Depends. There are three main compartments, two zippered, and one snapped. I like that there is a zippered pocket on the outside for keys.

It's very comfortable, but it's actually a lot more bigger than it looks in the picture.
ON THE GO AND ORGANIZED September 24, 2008
I needed a simple stylish bag with lots of compartments to keep things ready to hand. Rummaging around in purses is not for me. I like to reach right in and grab what I need. Every weekend I have to spend a full day starting early and finishing late at night running all over town. This bag is much larger than it looks in the picture, and being small of stature I was afraid it would look too out of proportion. After examining it, I found it so perfect for my needs, I decided who cares what it looks like? I need this bag! It holds my snacks, my kindle, my toiletries, and various assorted "stuff" I have to lug around. It was very inexpensive and I expect it to last for years.

I bought this bag because I thought it would be roomy enough to double as my purse and diaper bag. I was right. I love the three compartments- I use one for my wallet and other personal things, and I use the very roomy middle zippered pocket for diapers, bottles, snacks, and other baby/toddler gear. The third compartment has a pocket for my cell phone and another for my keys- which is great when I need to grab them quickly. I have two children under two, and this bag takes me wherever I need to go. It is very easy to open it up and see right away what I need refills of (diapers, wipes, etc.) I have it in brown, and I am ordering another one in the lighter tan color for the summer. It keeps me very organized, which I previously thought was impossible to do, especially in the bigger, deep bags. It also eliminated having to drag around a separate diaper bag in addition to my purse.

I bought this bag so that I could use it when traveling, since it had roomy outside pockets for easy storing of documents, tickets, paperback, etc. and ample interior for make-up, toiletries, etc. Also, zippers for safety. My trip happened to be cancelled but, in the meantime, I find that I am using the tote all the time ... and I just ordered it in black, for the winter. (I was afraid it would be discontinued) When I first spotted it at Macy's, it had a tag on it that said: "Get Totally Organized" and I find it does help. Made of 100% nylon, this bag is feather light and the handles sized just right for slipping under the arm or hold by the hand.
The medium size makes it ideal for us petites who can be so easily overwhelmed by the large bags now in fashion. It is big, but not huge. I usually run around in gym or pretty casual gear during the daytime, so it literally goes with everthing I wear. If you are going to be frugal (ha!) and order just one, the tan is very versatile.
I expect that having these two bags will save me $$$$ in the long run since come Winter I will not have to look for "the perfect bag" in different colors and it will be nice not to have to do all that switching. We all know how hard it is to find all the features one likes in just one bag and, besides, leather is getting outrageously expensive.
I only gave it 4 stars because I think 9 West could have easily stitched in a couple of more pockets inside one of the zippered compartments, such as for pencils, digital cameras, credit cards and small notepads. It does not have any more pockets inside than the regular 9 West bag. By the way, did I say I am a 9 West fan?
