I loved it! March 15, 2010
After reading the first book, I was hooked. I absolutly love vampire books and this one showed good vampires as well as bad ones an in this book, Rose shows how far she will go for Dimitri. Also it shows her and Lissa's bond and how friends like that can't be seperated. I loved this book and completly reccommedit to anyone who likes vampires and enjoyed Twilight.

This part of the book is more interesting - but the lenguage is the same easy-adolescent-English... Some days I lived in this amazing Moroi-Strigoi-Dhampir's world, and now I miss the next part...
Wow..just wow. March 7, 2010
If you follow the series [Spoiler Alert] you know a main, and beloved, character has "died;" well, really has become Strigoi. We go with Rose to Russia as she searches for the Strigoi version of Dimitri. We meet new characters, learn new mythology and see deeper into the Vampire Academy world. Needless to say after the "death", I took a bit of a break before I dove head first into Blood Promise so I could get over my depression. (Yes, I cried reading the third and fourth book of the series. I'm not ashamed.) And wow..just wow. This book was just incredible. Mead tops herself. I didn't think the characters could get any better. They did. I didn't think I could love them anymore. I do. I didn't think I could be surprised while reading yet another vampire series. I was. Definitely read this series. It's highly original, heartwrenchingly beautiful, and laugh out loud funny.

**spoiler alert** Blood Promise unfortunately didn't pack the punch I was hoping for. I really expected to stay up all night and read this one but I found myself reading a couple of pages and then putting it down to read something else. The whole story seemed hastily put together and really the whole book could have been omitted IMO. Every time the story would switch to Lissa I would silently groan because I thought that whole storyline was boring and served no purpose. I guess the only part that kept me mildly interested was when Rose finally meets Dimitri even though I hated the outcome. I will continue reading this series but I doubt I will put it on the top of my TBR pile when the next one is released.
