The conclusion to the five book series focusing on a brother and sister who discover a magical world run by their grandparents. I'm in the minority for loving it way more than Harry Schmotter, er, Potter. :) Anyway, without giving spoilers there are a good number of twists and minor to moderate surprises. Mind you, that's for an adult reading the book. I suspect teen agers might be more amazed by things and such. Bracken was the most interesting secondary character and the verbal duels with the Sphinx as well as the many fairy preserves were thought provoking. PAGE COUNT: 544 pp.; WHEN READ: March to July 2010; MY GRADE: B to B plus.

I have loved this series!! Some books lose me after book two or three and I get tired of reading the series. Fablehaven kept my attention throughout the whole book.
This book is written for the same audience that Harry Potter was written for. You will find it in the Children's section of the bookstore however, I think it is great for all ages.
You will follow Kendra and Seth as they are "forced" to go live with their weird grandparents for a few weeks while their parents go on a cruise. They are not excited to spend a week with their grandparents but soon realize that there is something different going on around them. They soon find themselves in a world of fairies, demons and trolls.
They are able to see what the outside world isn't able to see due to magic milk that they drink every day. In this final book Keys to the Demon Prison they finally conquer the evil that threaten to destroy the world they live in.
If you haven't yet read this series I would HIGHLY reccomend adding this series to your summer reading list! This is a series you can pass around the family and all enjoy.

I am a sucker for reading and I often get so sucked into books that I neglect the other aspects of my life. This extreme reading usually happens when I get within the last 100 pages of a book. In each of the Fablehaven books I was sucked in from the very beginning. I could not put them down. They are extremely good books. It saddens me that the series has come to an end but I am very excited for more Brandon Mull books in the future.
