allot of hype over nothing June 21, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I finaly received mine after a wait of about two months. I liked the fact that it has a built in drive and does not use an SD card like most recorders do. After setting it up I noticed it froze on setting. I Called Yamaha customer support and played phone tag for two days. When I did reach an agent they knew absolutely nothing about the product. There is not even anything on there Yamaha's website regarding this. I sent it back. My advice is wait until Yamaha support is available.
Seems overpriced June 4, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I got this because I wanted a very compact recorder with high quality stereo sound. It is very compact and lightweight for sure. The screen is very small and the characters so tiny they can be quite difficult to read. Also, the buttons are tiny too and kind of awkward to use. My friend has an Olympus LS-10 and we did simultaneous recording of a short jam session and afterwards we compared them and the Olympus won for sound quality. Of course, it's also twice the size. All in all it's an okay product if you need something really compact but if you can, wait for the price to drop considerably or shop around.
