Great price! Great seller! November 29, 2008
When my laptop power adapter started acting up and wouldn't charge properly, I panicked as I have to have my laptop up and running. My son suggested I check amazon for a new one. I went there and found the adapter I needed and ordered it. I feel the price was very good AND the seller shipped it ASAP which was great! I was back in business in no time!!!

Needed a replacement for my blown power supply. Ordered this and it worked as expected with all the quality I have always known and expected with Apple hardware.

I HATE giving this a STAR at ALL!!!! It should have a WARNING LABEL INSTEAD! I just finished writing a great review for the Macally AC Adapter - I have two Macally AC Adapters that are GREAT! I bought them after TWO APPLE cords sparked, smoked and one I actually watched as it smoked, sparked and then shot FLAMES out of the side of the computer where it HAD been attached. I contacted the US Consumer Product Safety Commission - they were investigating, that was a long time ago. Apple recalled the G4 cords I believe - but not he G3's - as were mine. The Macally work fine with my G3 iBook and PowerBook - although they say they are for the G4's - Do YOURSELF A FAVOR - PROTECT YOUR HOME, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR CHILDREN AND PETS - and your WORK - Change the AC Cord BEFORE YOU HAVE A FIRE. The warning signs are a dinmished battery charge and intermittent power loss. I came as close as I ever want to losing my home and everything I own - not to mention the people I love, because of this - and it happened in less than one year. I was very gentle with my computer - the cord is a flawed design and APPLE is of no help at all. I was VERY DISCOURAGED and DISAPPOINTED with APPLE COMPUTER - A COMPANY I ONCE THOUGHT VERY HIGHLY OF . . . And unless something has chaged, the USCPSC - still has not mandated a recall for the cords from the G3 Models -
MACALLY is a wonderful option - both I bought for around $30 each, and they are still in PERFECT condition, sturdy, well made, and compact. I was INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED WITH APPLE AND THEIR HIDEOUS DENIAL OF ANY ISSUE - see the thousands of people who signed an online petition for a recall to no avail. (I believe it is still online - although Apple tried to have it removed.) Tells you something! Don't risk something YOU KNOW has been a dangerous problem for others. Replace it NOW - before you lose something more than a computer.
Almost caused a fire December 16, 2006

I absolutely love Apple, but this adapter is a fire hazard. My cord like so many others got a tear in it(only noticed this break after examining the cord later). I was sitting there writing an e-mail when all of a sudden smoke started coming from where the adapter plugs into the computer. Luckily I was home, and even luckier than that was on my computer when this happened. I would suggest to stop using the adapter that comes with your mac and get an alternative like Macally, because the cord is just too fragile.

Yep read the other posts, I am going to go check out the iGo Juice. Our Apple Extra Portable 65W Power Adapter is total shot. It is now dangerous becuase you have to wiggle it so much in the wall jack to get a connection it is a hazard. And my kids use the imac the most
