Space-saving, easy to use, and stylish September 5, 2010
I tried this product after the elago s2 did not pan out for my iPhone 4. It sits on my nightstand which is small to begin with. Beforehand my phone would often end up on the floor when I used other items on my nightstand (tissues, alarm clock).
When hooked up, the phone sits securely in the cradle and you can actually type on the phone while it's charging. Not as secure in landscape, but that's to be expected.
I like the fact that you use your own cable, thus avoiding any compatibility issues. I had no problem setting it up, especially considering I did not read the directions until I had removed the piece that will hold the cord in place.
For all it's worth, I am putting this on my Christmas shopping list for several people I know.

Bought for use with an iPhone 4 without a bumper (ok I use an antenn-aid; at least it makes light of the situation).
Without the charging cable installed, the stand does not support the iPhone 4 in portrait mode. It will, however, support the phone in landscape mode. I bought it to watch netflix (in landscape mode). It looks nice and does what I need, but I'm taking off a star because it should have only taken a minor adjustment to the design for it to work in portrait mode without the charging cable.

I don't get what people are complaining about. The instructions are CLEAR on the box. The arrow CLEARLY points SIDEWAYS, and NOT down. It sticks a little, but it comes right off with a click. Slide sync cord in there, slide thingy back on, DONE. I have a hard case on mine, and it works like a charm. Those people complaining about how the dock doesn't work with the bumper on it need to get over it. The manufacturer does NOT CLAIM THAT IT WOULD. So giving the dock less than five stars is misleading, as it's based on people being angry about something the manufacturer has zero control over.
They claim it charges your PHONE, not your phone WITH BUMPER, and charge your phone/iPod/etc it does perfectly!

Pros:
Stylish
Works with almost any case, any apple product
Doesn't dock, but will hold iPhone in landscape mode
Perfect for FaceTime
Cons:
Haven't found a non-apple cable that fits yet, and apple cables are too short for me

I don't what happened but my dock does not even work. My iPhone 4 won't even fit inside of it! I set everything up, ran my power cord through the dock, and my iPhone 4 will not fit inside of the charger WITHOUT a bumper on it. I even took out the cord to see if I put the power cord in wrong. Took the cord out, fit perfectly, put the cord back in, cannot connect it. I don't know if mine was made differently but this product does not work! It's a shame since I've seen others use an iPhone 4 with it and I'm doing nothing they haven't done.
