4 out of 5 stars great control but doesn't work with most games   October 29, 2008
This control works great but it doesn't work with most games. It only works with games that say made for windows. That totally sucks! That's why I gave it four stars.

1 out of 5 stars 2-second delay   September 7, 2008

This controller is the biggest letdown I've ever experienced with a gaming console. Since it was standard with the system I bought, I had no choice. There is at least a 2-3 second delay with each action I take with it. I press 'A' to accept the letter 'a' for my profile name, and three seconds later it appears. Try selecting plays in Madden with that kind of delay. This is a completely worthless piece of garbage. BTW, I'm working within 4 feet of the console, with nothing in between the controller and the console. Perhaps I got a lemon. Garbage.

4 out of 5 stars Just One Controller, please...   September 4, 2008
Hey!

I have a few things to say about this controller.

It was easy to connect and install on my PC, but I was led to wonder...

I have not been a big fan of first person shooters, etc. but sometimes you need a controller. Let's be honest: Who here is tired of playing Battlefield 2142 with the keyboard?

This one is compatible with both the XBox and the PC. So it seems ideal, but it begs the question as to why, in this day and age, with PC technology advancing rapidly, I should need different controllers in the first place.

I mean, why should joysticks, etc. be necessary, when PC, and console users, have access to such a capable and compatible controller?

It works well, and it is easy to install, so it gets top marks. The fact that it does not interface with all applications knocks it down a little. Perhaps in the future a universal controller will be made available...

4 out of 5 stars Works with Windows Vista for Legos Indiana Jones   August 31, 2008
Our other controller didn't have enough buttons for the Legos Indiana Jones for PC so I bought this one and it works flawlessly with the game.

5 out of 5 stars A solid USB controller that works on both Xbox and PC   August 9, 2008
I like this. It's the same base product as a standard Xbox controller (wired or wireless) with the same features - pressure sensitive trigger buttons, two separate motors for vibration support, etc. It connects via USB to your PC or to the Xbox 360 and includes a safety release so you won't rip your PC or XBox off the shelf if you get carried away.

I actually prefer this controller to the standard Xbox or wireless Xbox controllers since it connects to both PC and Xbox 360 and draws power from the USB connection so you don't have to worry about batteries.

I can see people hating this controller for its somewhat short cord length (about 6 feet) but it's not an issue for me. If it is for you get Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows which includes a receiver or get a USB extension cable along with this controller. If you already have a Wireless Xbox 360 controlller, it should work on PC if you purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.

I haven't used this much for Windows gaming, but I imagine some games would give you problems since the button mapping looks quite different to DirectX than the mapping on gamepads by Logitech and others.

For any developers out there, this works fine with Microsoft XNA for both PC and Xbox 360.
