Too much fun July 3, 2008 My 2-yr-old loves this thing! There is no way I could write a bad review for the [...] I paid for it! I didn't experience the vulgar language that some reviewers complained about. It's noisy, but that's expected with toddler toys. My son mows our rugs at least once a day.
This does not deserve all the bad reviews June 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We wanted a toy for our 14mth old to push around the house and out on the lawn and I decided to buy this one because it was on sale and came with the bonus zip cutter. I was bit concerned about all the bad reviews regarding the phrases that Mike says but after listening to the toy, I really don't know what all the fuss is about. Here is most of what he says: - Power up - its time to work or its cutting time - Power down - I'm full; our work is done; this lawn is perfect - Let's give this grass a buzz cut - This grass is tall; this grass is thick - Let's give this lawn a fancy cut - Yum Yum - It's lunch time - Hmm Hmm this grass is tasty - Ha Ha - One yard down, 10 more yards to go - Mow, mow the lawn
The mower is loud with or without the sound on and has a sort of drill sargent voice. My son seems to enjoy it and I guess that is the most important part.
Hope this helps future buyers
Mike the Mower May 25, 2008 My 16 month old son likes to play with Mike the Mower around the house. He also plays with it outside. It can't really be pushed on the grass though - and the grass is normal height (the grass gets cut every week). Other than that it's fun for him. My son likes when Mike the Mower "talks to him" and the mower says his little phrases. The phrases aren't obnoxious like some other reviewers have said. I recommend Mike the Mower to any child who likes to push things around.
Cute and fun February 5, 2008 This is a cute toy for little ones to push around. It does make noise, but not too much - isn't it suppose to be like Dad and Mom's? Really good item when you get it on sale like I did. Full price is a bit much.
A lot of fun - but terribly noisey January 18, 2008 I purchased this toy for my 1 year old after watching how much fun she had with push toys in the store. It turned out to be perfect for her. She has a blast pushing it all over the house. That being said, it did not turn out to be perfect for her mother; the mower is incredibly loud - even when it is turned off. Just the chunk-chunk sound of the big head moving back and forth is enough to drive a parent insane.
